Distance Business Programme (D-Biz)

Each plan together with training expenses can provide up to $100,000; up to $300,000 in total funding.

Scope of Funding:

Eligible Applicants:
All private enterprises (excluding publicly listed companies, statutory bodies and non-government organisations funded by the Government) with a valid Business Registration Certificate, ongoing business commenced before January 1 2020 and substantive business operation in the industry related to the project in the application at the time of application are eligible.

Application Period:
Application is open from May 18th to Oct 31st 2020.

Application Processing Time:
After all application materials are complete, the result of the application will be given, at the earliest, 10 working days. 30% of the first subsidies will be deposited in the designated bank account right after the application has been approved.

TVP

Funding Ceiling: HKD600,000 (Applicant has to bear not less than one-third of the applied project cost)


TVP aims to support local enterprises/organisations in using technological services and solutions to improve productivity, or upgrade or transform their business processes, e.g. purchase software or employ Technology Consultancy Services.

Target: mainly SMEs and non-listed companies, with a valid Business Registration Certificate and have substantive business operation in Hong Kong.

The funding committee will assess the project based on its nature and relationship with the applicant’s business, the budget and implementation details, and whether the technology consultant/service provider has a bad record. Upon approval, each project is generally completed in twelve months.

Maximum Entries: 6 Projects
Application Procedures: Application and approval are needed prior to project start.

BUD

Funding Ceiling: HKD4,000,000 (Mainland and all economies with which HK has signed Free Trade Agreements)

Eligible Hong Kong enterprises can submit applications to carry out projects for branding, upgrading and/or development sales in the FTA markets. Some examples that fall within the scope of the Mainland Programme are listed as follow:

- Branding
- Upgrading & Restructuring Enterprises
- Marketing Promotion

Funding Ceiling (Per Project): HKD1,000,000 (matching basis or 50% of the project expenditure)
Maximum Entries: 40 projects
Application Procedures: Application and approval are needed prior to project start..
Target Markets: Mainland, Macau, the markets of ASEAN (i.e. Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), Australia, Chile, the four member states of the European Free Trade Association (i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), Georgia, and New Zealand.

ReTAAS

Funding Ceiling: HKD50,000 (matching basis or 50% of the project expenditure)


Aims to encourage retailers to apply information technology and other technologies into their business practices, in order to manage their manpower, increase productivity and improve their working environment.

Maximum Entries: 2 Projects
Application Procedures: Pre-application and approval from the government is required to start the project.
Target Market: Hong Kong  

EMF

Funding Ceiling: HKD800,000

EMF aims to provision subsidies to SMEs in order to encourage SMEs to participate in export promotion activities and assist them in expanding to markets outside of Hong Kong. Also assists electronic platforms or intermediaries that target markets outside Hong Kong in export promotion activities, such as advertising, keyword search optimization, uploading product information, and establishing or optimizing online stores.
